HDMI Video Extender over Cat 5 - Long Range Receiver

This CAT5 long range HDMI receiver can be used with StarTech.com's HDMI over Cat 5 / UTP Extender Transmitter (ST121HDMIT), delivering a high quality video solution that extends HDMI video over long distances (up to 250m / 800ft) while maintaining display resolutions of up to 1080p.

Several factors determine the maximum HDMI cable distance that can be used to properly transmit an HDMI signal, including cable design and composition, which affect signal attenuation and in turn limit the length of HDMI cable that can be used (typically, no more than 50ft using high quality cable).

This long range HDMI Receiver overcomes length limitations to provide a cost-effective solution for high definition content delivery in digital signage applications (retail, education, hospitality).

A versatile video extension solution, the long range receiver can also be used as a DVI-D signal extender, using one of our HDMI to DVI cables.

Installation is simple: connect the transmitter unit to the HDMI/DVI signal source and situate the long range receiver and the intended HDMI or DVI display up to 250m (820ft) away. Then, connect the local (transmitter) and remote (receiver) units using standard CAT 5 UTP cable.

Please note:This receiver is compliant with HDMI 1.2, HDCP 1.1, and DVI 1.0 standards to ensure broad compatibility with commonly used HDMI and DVI devices.
