New Video Switches Offer Serial Control!
Our Converge A/V product line has grown by two more important additions - the VS421CPNTA 4 Port Component A/V Switcher with RS-232 and the VS410RVGAA 4 Port VGA Switcher with Audio and RS-232.
The VS421CPNTA 4 Port Component A/V Switcher with RS-232 provides users with simple, efficient switching between Composite/HD video sources as well as S/PDIF(digital) or RCA (analog) audio - making it a perfect solution for A/V users who are using multiple composite or component video sources with a single standard or high definition display.
The VS410RVGAA 4 Port VGA Switcher with Audio and RS-232 allows you to switch between four separate VGA and audio signals to be displayed upon a single VGA display. The switch saves the time it would take to switch out VGA devices for a single display; this can be extremely valuable to a user who cannot switch out devices due to the fixed nature of their display.
Both of these A/V switches offer a great deal of versatility, in that they can be controlled by front panel pushbutton, using the (included) IR Remote Control, or controlled from a dedicated control point via serial port!

PARTSAPOLOOZA Hits StarTech.com!
On Friday, StarTech.com held its first ever PARTSAPOLOOZA, a tabletop show and training event for the StarTech.com team. The goal of the event was to educate employees on the newest products in the StarTech.com lineup so they can better help our customers complete their solutions using the latest technology.
Our Product Management team did a great job demonstrating their products, including explaining the key applications and benefits. We look forward to holding these events on a regular basis as we are continually launching new and exciting products to keep up with industry trends.

Swap Two SATA Bays at a Time
A new addition to our product line, the HSB220SAT25B 3.5" Tray-Less Dual 2.5" SATA HD Hot-Swap Bay is based on the same easy swap mechanism and design of the top selling HSB100SATBK 5.25" Tray-Less SATA Hot-Swap Bay. However, this bay allows you to install two 2.5" SATA drives in an available/unused 3.5" floppy drive bay.
The device is extremely functional and easy to use, because it works like a floppy drive or tape cartridge, so users can simply insert the drive they are using and when done, removing the drive(s) is as easy as opening the front panel door and extracting the drive.
The HSB220SAT25B 3.5" Tray-Less Dual 2.5" SATA HD Hot-Swap Bay is constructed mostly of aluminum, which offers efficient heat dissipation (this is helpful in maintaining a safe operating temperature for the installed drives). Lastly, this device supports hot swapping capability and SATA II data transfer rates of up to 3.0 Gbps.

Turning Convenient Connections Inside Out!
A couple of our newest product releases include the ESATAPLT1LP External Slot Low Profile Plate and the PLATE9MLP 9-pin Serial to 10-pin Header Slot Plate with Low Profile Bracket.
These innovative devices let you install ports that are usually confined to the inside of your computer case to the rear panel of a computer - the ESATAPLT1LP allows you to connect eSATA devices (such as external hard drives)to a computer, externally making use of SATA connectors provided by the motherboard; the PLATE9MLP provides an external 9-pin (DB9)serial port, using a (typically) internal 10-pin RS-232 header.
