StarTech.com attending UWO Career Fair!
We're very excited to be participating in the second annual University of Western Ontario "London Day" Career Fair, at the University Community Center between 11AM and 4PM today. We'll be there to answer questions and provide a glimpse of how we "Excite Customers. Succeed and Have Fun!".

StarTech.com's WebAward Threepeat!
We are very pleased to announce that for the third consecutive year, we were selected to receive the Web Marketing Association's WebAward for outstanding achievement in Website Development!
We scored particularly well in both Content and Usability, which is extremely rewarding as we pride ourselves on providing a comfortable online environment that suits the diverse needs of our customers.
With such a broad offering of products, we try very hard to create a website that reflects our main goal of making "hard-to-find easy" on every level, so it's a great feeling to know that industry experts such as the Web Marketing Association feel that our site is award-worthy.

iPhone used to control StarTech.com Conyx
One of the hottest topics at our recent "Partsapalooza" was the capability that our Conyx Enhanced Serial Console Server offers for controlling connected devices and services remotely through an Internet connection. To demonstrate the type of control users can have, we connected to the Conyx unit we have installed in our testing facility using an iPhone 3G!
With the widespread use of high speed mobile devices such as the Apple iPhone (including iPhone 3G), our Conyx Enhanced Serial Console Server has become even more convenient for controlling important devices and services remotely!
Specifically, because the Conyx Enhanced Serial Console Server allows network administrators or technicians to have access to all of their mission critical systems from any location with Internet access (or a cell signal), mobile devices such as iPhones, Smart Phones, or BlackBerry devices can be coupled with it (Conyx) to put server and device control right in the palm of your hand!

New FireWire Card Offers Speed, Simplicity
The PEX1394A2DV PCI Express FireWire 400 Card with Digital Video Editing Kit, a recent release from our selection of I/O cards has been getting some attention lately based on the cost-effective solution it presents for connecting FireWire devices to computers that may lack a built-on FireWire port.
The PEX1394A2DV PCI Express card adds two high speed FireWire 400 ports to a desktop PC, making it easy to add FireWire devices such as external hard drives, DV camcorders, HD video cameras, personal multimedia devices etc. The card supports data transfer rates up to 400Kbps, which translates into smoother operation when using connected (FireWire) devices, and includes a DV (Digital Video) editing kit that features Ulead VideoStudio software and 5' FireWire cable.
