PEX1S552 is a PCI Express based serial adapter card that allows you to turn a PCI Express slot into an RS232 (DB9) serial connection. Based on a native single chip design, this serial adapter card allows you to harness the full capability offered by PCI Express (PCIe).
The PCI Express RS232 Serial Adapter Card (PEX1S552) is compatible with a broad range of operating systems, including Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista, Linux Kernel 2.6.11 and up, and MAC OS 10.4 and above. Plus, PEX1S552 includes an optional low profile bracket that allows the card to be installed in virtually any computer case – making it that much easier to add a serial port to a PCI Express enabled computer, regardless of the size of the computer case.
