Providing a complete, hardware-based external RAID storage solution for notebooks or desktops, the SAT2520U2ER eSATA/USB 2.0 Dual 2.5" SATA Drive Enclosure with RAID supports a broad range of RAID configurations of dual 2.5" SATA hard drives, including JBOD, BIG/concatenated (spanning), FAST/RAID 0, SAFE/RAID 1, and more. aLSO, connect to a host computer using either USB or eSATA.
This durable hard drive enclosure features an aluminum casing, helping to protect against damage while in transit, and provides additional dissipation of the heat generated by normal drive operation, in turn providing a cooler working environment for installed hard drives. Plus, the SAT2520U2ER eSATA/USB 2.0 Dual 2.5" SATA Drive Enclosure with RAID can operate without using the included power adapter, by drawing power from a USB connection to the host computer.
As a further option, with the use of our StarTech.com SATA to Compact Flash adapter (SAT2CF), it allows up to as many as two Compact Flash cards (CF cards) to be installed into the drive enclosure and be used as a portable, high performance, and shock resistant SSD (Solid State Drive).
