This Dual SATA External RAID Hard Drive Enclosure offers a practical external RAID solution, allowing you to install two Serial ATA hard drives for connection to a host computer through high speed USB 2.0.
Delivering easy to use, yet versatile external RAID storage, the enclosure automatically configures your RAID array based on your selection (JBOD, Striping (RAID 0), Spanning (non RAID), and Mirror (RAID 1) modes supported).
To simplify monitoring of drive activity, the enclosure features six front panel LED indicators that provide constant operation and status updates.
The enclosure supports any standard 3.5in SATA (SATA/SATA II) hard drive up to 2TB capacity each (total capacity 4TB), allowing you to customize your external storage solution based on your preference of hard drive manufacturer without having to worry about compatibility issues.
An out-of-the-box external RAID solution, the enclosure includes a USB 2.0 cable and the necessary power adapter.
To help protect installed hard drives from the gradual heat build-up that occurs as a result of typical drive operation, the dual drive enclosure features a built-in 40mm fan. This is especially important with large capacity (750GB to 2TB), or faster "spinning" drives (e.g. 7200RPM), as it can help optimize drive operability and preserve hard drive lifespan.
