SAT3540ER is an external SATA (eSATA) hard drive enclosure that provides robust functionality and configurability to create the ideal external RAID solution.
Capable of housing up to four 3.5" SATA (SATA, SATA II, SATA/300) hard drives at up to 1.5TB capacity per drive (for a total of up to 6 Terabytes of storage), the SAT3540ER connects to a host computer through a single rear eSATA Port Multiplier interface, and offers multiple RAID operating modes that can easily be configured using the included GUI software.
This versatile RAID solution offers a unique hot swappable design with removable hard drive trays that allows for quick changing/swapping and sharing of hard drives. Plus, to ensure optimized drive performance, the SAT3540ER also features a built-in 80mm fan, to help provide a cooler operating environment for enclosed drives, which is a necessity when using today's high capacity/fast spinning Terabyte hard drives.
