The SV831MEDIA is an add-on component that enhances StarTech.com’s StarView line of KVMs, and can function as an 8 port dual display KVM. The SV831MEDIA provides dual display support for PCs with a dual-head video card or 2 installed video cards, as well as adds multimedia capabilities to KVMs without these native capabilities. The SV831MEDIA switches 3 different audio ports on a PC to one console (Speaker/Line Out, Microphone, and 1 other audio in or out port). The unit works with 4-speaker surround PC sound systems using the speaker/line out and auxiliary in/out jacks.
