While using the IP-Extender Manager software I am receiving an "Access Denied" error, or I cannot activate the ports. What do I do in Windows Vista / 7 / 8?

When experiencing either issue, complete the following:

  1. Close the IP-Extender Manager software.
  2. Right-click on the IP-Extender Manager icon and click Properties.
  3. Click the Compatibility tab.
  4. Select the Run this program as an administrator check box.
  5. Click Apply and OK.
  6. Relaunch the software.
