Removable Drive Bay

 

 

A Removable Drive Bay is a plastic or metal frame that is permanently installed within a host computer, that in turn allowing hard drives to be used as removable storage. As opposed to fastening the drive to the computer case, the drive is attached to a tray that is removable/ejectable from the drive bay.
