USB Active Extension

 

 

USB active extension is a term used to describe the use of an "Active" or bus-powered USB cable, that extends a USB signal beyond the standard limitation of 5 meters (for high-speed peripherals), while still achieving USB 2.0 data transfer rate speeds of up to 480Mbits/sec.
