Rackmount

Rack mounting allows for servers, test instruments, telecommunications components, tape drives and audio/video equipment to be organized in an enclosed, compact environment (rack/cabinet) The electronics and computing devices are designed in rack mountable packages that are bolted to the side frames of the storage rack. If the electronics and computing devices are not rack mountable, they can be placed on shelves that are also bolted to the side frames of the racks. Racks vary in size and shape but usually have a standard cabinet width of 19’’ or 23’’ and can be enclosed with sides or left open without the sides.
