PCI Riser Card

A riser card or expansion card is a device used to physically extend a slot which makes it much easier to insert full-sized cards where space is limited. A PCI riser card allows the ability to plug a full sized PCI card into a micro ATX case where space is not available. PCI riser cards come in two different forms, the first being a solid riser card and the second being a riser card with an integrated ribbon cable that allows for easy and flexible placement of the PCI card.
