(5 stars) Easy to assemble, works like a charm

By:
Does a great job doing what it's supposed to do. Yet on my Win10 laptop I had to enter regedit and remover an upper key file for it to stop mounting and dismounting spontaneously. MS homepage provided me with a guide for this.

Hi, Thanks for sharing your feedback on our USB 3.0 slimline ODD enclosure. The issue that you are encountering may be related to using this enclosure with a USB 2.0 port on your laptop. A USB 2.0 does not output enough power to detect and spin up the ODD you have in our enclosure. If you connect to a USB 3.0 port, this should not be a problem. Thank You
By: Jonas
You probably plugged it in a USB 2.0 port so it can't draw the amount of power needed for spinning the disc. Try, if the laptop has any USB 3.0 ports to plug it into them.
