This 4 Port PS/2 KVM Switch is a reliable computer management tool that allows you to control multiple computers from one source, minimizing downtime by making connected computers and input devices available as soon as they are attached.
This sturdy KVM Switch features an all-metal, 1U chassis that adds to the unit's reliability and dependability.
The switch is designed to work with Dell, Compaq, IBM and HP servers, all PC notebook computers, and Compaq Alpha systems, and supports resolutions of up to 1920x1440 - ensuring a smooth and broadly compatible operating experience.

Features
- Completely operating system independent. No software or drivers required
- Supports PCs requiring either PS/2 or serial mice (includes 2 serial adapters)
- Desktop or Rack-mountable (rackmount kit not included - see SV431RACK)
- Can be cascaded to control up to 16 PCs
- Works with notebook PCs and most varieties of scroll mice
- Uses standard off-the-shelf cables or StarTech.com tangle-fee KVM cables to connect PCs to the switch
- A front panel pushbutton and status lights for each port make PC selection and switch status monitoring fast and easy
- Completely hot-pluggable feature allows you to add or remove keyboards, mice, monitors and even cascaded switches without powering down the switch or an attached computer
- Compact 1U rack height takes up very little cabinet or rack space
- "Keep-alive" feature draws power from PC keyboard ports if power is lost. Switch will continue to operate during power outage even if it loses power, retaining mouse control.
- Hot-pluggable to allow computers to be added or removed without worrying about having to reboot the other connected system.
