The R300WN22ODE Outdoor Wireless Access Point lets you add 2.4GHz Wireless-N network coverage to an outdoor area, through a ruggedized industrial access point.

This outdoor access point features an IP67 certified, die-cast metal enclosure with heavy-duty cable grommets so it can withstand the outdoor elements and offers pole and wall-mounting options. Plus, the PoE-powered AP includes a passive Power-over-Ethernet injector, enabling you to install it in locations where a typical power outlet is unavailable. PoE pass-through via the secondary LAN port lets you connect data and power to a PoE-capable device near the access point.

For optimal wireless coverage, the AP broadcasts a signal through a high-powered 800mW internal 10dBi 2T2R antenna, with 802.11b/g/n compatibility to easily connect most wireless devices new or old.

The device offers support for several different operating modes (AP, WDS and WISP), which help you to create a wireless network from a wired connection, bridge multiple APs together or extend the range of an existing wireless network. The AP supports Wireless-N data rates up to 300Mbps with security through WEP, WPA, or WPA2 authentication, all configurable through an easy-to-use web-based utility.

  1. Make sure that the R300WN22MOD is on the same network as your computer.
  2. In an Internet browser, enter the IP address of the unit. The default IP address is 192.168.2.254.
  3. In the user name field, enter the user name. The default user name is root.
  4. In the password field, enter the password. The default password is default.
