Perfect MOSFET cooling fan

This heatsink+fan features a thick flat surface well-suited for tapped holes to mount and cool power-transistors. It's good for at least 100 watts of cooling (with 64C surface rise they say). I have designed it into four projects so far. I remove the mounting clip, and add four tapped holes at the corners, to insert 3/8-inch tapped standoffs. These are used to mount the heatsink to a PCB. More tapped holes are placed to mount MOSFETs, etc. After mounting, their leads are bent upwards and soldered into the PCB. They can then be unscrewed (leave a 1/4-inch hole in the PCB for screwdriver access) and for PCB testing or rework.
