Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station

Lockbourne, OH - September 14, 2016 - has announced the release of a TB3DK2DPW -’s most advanced dock ever. One of the first to market, the dock will harness the raw speed of Thunderbolt 3 by supporting two uncompressed 4K 60Hz (3840 x 2160p) displays or a single 5K 60Hz (5120 x 2880p) display, three USB 3.0 devices, Gigabit Ethernet, and stereo audio in/out, all while creating a more productive and clutter free workspace. The second Thunderbolt 3 port on the dock operates the same as a Thunderbolt 3 computer port by supporting Thunderbolt 3 (up to 5 daisy chained), USB 3.1 (10Gb/s), and DisplayPort devices.

“With Single-cable docks enabled by Thunderbolt 3 verses traditional docks, it can connect to everything on a desktop including battery charging without compromising performance,” said Jason Ziller, Director of Thunderbolt Marketing, Intel Corporation. “’s Thunderbolt 3 Dual-4K Docking Station allow for thinner and lighter systems by getting rid of the large docking connector.”

Now, and for the first time, users can truly select thinner notebooks with fewer connectors without compromising performance and the ability to connect to everything on the desktop. Business professionals will appreciate increased productivity and less eyestrain from dual 4K/UHD displays with astonishing resolution, contrast, and color depth to see photos, videos, applications, and text with amazing detail. Media creators now have a single-cable docking solution to edit and playback multiple streams of HD and/or 4K content with enough headroom to daisy chain multiple HD or 4K displays (or a single 5K display) simultaneously.

“Thunderbolt 3 is the next great advancement for wired connectivity,” said Carey Cline, Senior Product Manager at “’s new Thunderbolt 3 dual 4K docking station is taking the next step in maximizing the performance of Thunderbolt 3 equipped laptops in a docking station setup.”
