May 08, 2017

USB-C Hubs with Power Delivery

Lockbourne, OH - May 8, 2017 - has announced the release of a new line of USB-C hubs with Power Delivery support, which provide additional ports for connecting to more devices and simultaneously power and charge compatible USB-C/Thunderbolt™ 3 laptops. All five of the hubs are compatible with Windows®, Mac, Linux® and Chrome OS™ operating systems and install automatically once connected to a computer.

The hubs come in a variety of versions, giving users of USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 laptops the ability to add two, three or four USB-A ports, and one version (SKU: HB30C1A1CPD) supporting USB-C downstream connections to USB-A devices.

Any user of USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 enabled laptops will find the new hubs useful for expanding ports, but they are made with the mobile professional in mind. Mobile professionals work in many different environments (offices, at home, shared workspaces and BYOD) so they require devices that travel well and serve multiple functions. The new USB-C hubs allow professionals to easily connect to their phones, tablets, additional storage devices and even to a wired connection, all while being able to fit in a laptop bag.

Differentiating features and benefits of each hub:

  • Ultra-compact and sleek design to match the MacBook finish
  • Extended USB-C cable for more flexibility
  • USB-C downstream port which supports data (device connection) or pass through Power Delivery

  • Three USB-A ports
  • Gigabit Ethernet port

  • Three USB-A ports
  • Available in black or white
  • Extended USB-C cable length of 34 cm for added flexibility

  • Four USB-A ports
“With this new line of USB-C based hubs, delivers on providing users with more port connectivity to their modern port-deprived laptops, and new technology support for convenient laptop charging. These products maintain the integrity of current and future ultra-thin laptops, designed for portability and optimal work space usage,” Carey Cline, Senior Product Manager,

It’s important to note that the new hubs perform best with USB-C ports that support full USB-C Power Delivery. However, each hub can connect to non-Power Delivery USB-C ports and will receive power from the host laptop’s power adapter.

The new line of USB-C hubs is available at CDW,,, PC Connection, and Insight and will be distributed by Ingram Micro, SYNNEX, Tech Data, D&H and ASI.
