My computer received the Windows 10 Anniversary update and now my USB video adapter no longer works. What do I do?

If you're using a USB video adapter and you’re running the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, there is a known issue that causes a conflict with your video card.

To check which version of Windows 10 you’re running, complete the following:

  1. Click the Start icon.
  2. Type About your PC, and then select About your PC.
  3. On the PC screen, under Edition, look for the version number.
The Windows 10 Anniversary Update is version 1607.

To temporarily resolve the conflict with your video card, you need to return to a previous version of the video card driver.

  1. Press Windows key+R.
  2. Type devmgmt.msc, and then press Enter.
  3. Click Display adapters.
  4. Right-click the AMD listing, and then click Properties.
  5. Click the Driver tab.
  6. Click Roll Back Driver.
