There are several different ways that you can reset these devices to the factory settings. The following steps list the methods in order of easiest to hardest to perform.

Note: You can reset individual ports by going into Port Configuration and clicking the Reset button underneath Port Reset.
Reset the hardware
This is normal behavior. The software says connecting when data is being transferred. When data is not being transferred, the software says disconnected. The disconnected message does not mean that the device is not working.

You should not upgrade your device's firmware if you do not have any issues with the functionality of your device.
