Lockbourne, OH - February 22, 2017 - has announced the release of five new USB-C adapters, which give users an easy way to power, charge and add external video to their USB-C equipped laptop. In addition to external video and USB Power Delivery, three of the new adapters feature a USB 3.0 Type-A port, which enables users to connect an additional USB peripheral device.
Three new USB-C multiport adapters offer an HDMI® or VGA port for connections to a display and an additional USB-A port to connect to other devices. The two new display adapters are available in USB-C to HDMI or USB-C to VGA versions. All of the adapters supply power to a laptop, utilizing the USB-C port and USB-C type power adapters from compatible modern laptops.
Users who have a USB-C enabled laptop, such as the new MacBook Pro, will find the adapters provide a convenient way to expand the port options on their laptop. The adapters are portable, fitting easily into a laptop or backpack, and make it easier for users to use their laptop in a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) or CYOD (Choose Your Own Device) environments.
Additional features of the multiport adapters (HDMI: CDP2HDUACP & CDP2HDUACPW and VGA: CDP2VGAUACP) are:
“We continue to build a broad line of convenient USB-C products like the multiport adapters to provide our customers with options to meet their on-the-go requirements,” said Carey Cline, Product Manager of the new multiport adapters, StarTech.com.
Additional features of the display adapters (HDMI: CDP2HDUCP & VGA: CDP2VGAUCP) are:
“These adapters enable you to do more with fewer ports. Charging your devices and outputting up to 4K60 video at the same time through a single adapter is the advantage USB-C technology offers users and ultimately cuts down on the number of ports needed on slimmer devices,” said John Mardinly, Product Manager of the new display adapters, StarTech.com.
The new USB-C adapters are available at CDW, Amazon.com, Newegg.com, PC Connection, and Insight and will be distributed by Ingram Micro, SYNNEX, Tech Data, D&H and ASI.
