Ordered one to put USB 3 card to 6 years old Lenovo workstation. I only had free old PCI slot, and there are no USB-3 controllers for PCI available. So I ordered this one. It simply doesn't work. PCI-Z test program, analysing PCI Bus, Stated this:
Bridge Pericom Semiconductor PI7C9X111SL PCIe-to-PCI Reversible Bridge PCI bridge This device cannot start. (Code 10) 12D8:E111 0000:0000 Need device installer. Can be rebalanced.
---- So, the card REQUIRES some sort of a driver.
